Hope- Hold On Pain Ends. Let’s work through the pain together. You never have to be alone again.

My name is Devon Winn, and I'm a recovery coach, clinician, and a person in long-term recovery. I believe that true healing occurs when individuals feel understood, respected, and supported—not rushed, judged, or pushed before they’re ready. This philosophy is at the core of my addiction support approach.
With over eight years of experience in addiction and mental health treatment, I've dedicated my career to supporting individuals and families through detox, residential care, admissions, and community-based services. My professional journey is deeply influenced by my own recovery experience. I understand how overwhelming early recovery can be—and how transformative it is when someone walks beside you instead of ahead of you.
As a recovery coach, my role is not to “fix” you or dictate your actions. Instead, I aim to help you build clarity, stability, and confidence as you navigate your path at your own pace. I work with clients facing the challenges of early recovery, transitions between levels of care, relapse prevention, emotional regulation, boundaries, and the daily hurdles of reconstructing a meaningful and sustainable life.
My coaching style is supportive, honest, and practical, seamlessly blending compassion with accountability. I incorporate evidence-based insights into my work, believing that mental health coaching is essential for effective recovery. I view recovery not as a destination but as a dynamic relationship with yourself that evolves over time.
Above all, I believe everyone deserves care that honors their unique story. Whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to regain your footing, remember—you don’t have to do this alone.
I have been a Certified Addiction Counselor through the state of Connecticut since 2021, providing essential addiction support to individuals in need. I hold a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counselor certificate from NVCC and am currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Social Work program at Charter Oak, where I am enhancing my skills in mental health coaching.
Recovery coaching is practical, supportive guidance for individuals and families navigating recovery and life transitions. My work focuses on clarity, stability, accountability, and emotional support—meeting you where you are and moving forward at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
Individual Recovery Coaching
I provide addiction support for clients in early recovery, long-term recovery, or those returning after relapse. My mental health coaching sessions focus on real-life challenges such as:
- Creating structure and routine
- Managing cravings, triggers, and emotional overwhelm
- Strengthening coping skills and relapse-prevention strategies
- Navigating work, relationships, and boundaries
- Building confidence and self-trust
This work is collaborative and goal-oriented, with consistent support between sessions when needed.
Recovery doesn’t happen in one hour a week. Depending on your needs, addiction support through mental health coaching can include: scheduled check-ins, text or message support, goal tracking and accountability, as well as crisis planning and early intervention support. This support is flexible and tailored—because recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Transitions can be one of the most vulnerable points in recovery, which is why I provide addiction support to help clients prepare for and navigate: Discharge from detox, residential, or PHP/IOP programs; Stepping down between levels of care; Returning home, to work, or to family roles; Establishing aftercare routines that actually fit real life. My approach includes mental health coaching, along with planning, accountability, and troubleshooting challenges as they arise.
Choosing the right level of care can feel confusing and stressful. I offer unbiased guidance to help individuals and families navigate their options for addiction support and mental health coaching:
Understand treatment options and different levels of care
Identify ethical, appropriate programs
Prepare for admissions or transitions
Ask the right questions and avoid common pitfalls
This service is independent and client-centered, with no pressure or referral incentives.
Recovery coaching is not therapy or clinical treatment. I do not diagnose, provide psychotherapy, or replace licensed clinical care. Coaching offers valuable addiction support and works best alongside therapy, medication management, and peer support when appropriate, enhancing overall mental health coaching efforts.
Addiction affects the whole family, and I provide essential addiction support for parents, partners, and loved ones by offering:
- Education about addiction and recovery
- Guidance on healthy boundaries and communication
- Support during crises or transitions
- Help navigating treatment options and next steps
This service not only provides clarity but also incorporates mental health coaching to help families who feel overwhelmed or unsure where to turn.
